Pelham Chamber of Commerce Awarded "Best of Westchester - Chamber of Commerce"
Pelham, NY — June 21, 2024— The Pelham Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce its first-ever win of the prestigious “Best of Westchester - Chamber of Commerce” award. This accolade is a testament to the Chamber’s dynamic transformation and flourishing impact on the community over the last four years.
The Chamber has grown exponentially, now boasting a diverse membership of over 140 businesses, including local favorites from bakeries and restaurants to jewelry shops and professional services. This diverse collective strengthens Pelham’s vibrant community and economic vitality.
The Chamber’s progressive approach has attracted significant funding, securing three substantial grants. These include an initial $10k grant, followed by a $15K grant, and most recently, a $250,000 Downtown Improvement Grant (DIG), recognizing Pelham as one of just five towns recognized for its commitment to community and economic enhancement.
Pelham Chamber of Commerce consistently champions local businesses and community spirit through large-scale events like "Winter Wonderland" and "Spring into Pelham" and by running impactful campaigns such as "Fall in Love with Pelham" and "MOMinate." These efforts highlight the unique charm of Pelham’s businesses and celebrate the community’s spirit.
The Pelham Chamber of Commerce’s robust board includes Cristina Chianese, President and Head of Marketing; Amy Platt, CO-VP and Head of Events; Miranda Bucciero, Co-VP and Head of Strategy; Deanna Zammit, Downtown Revitalization Lead; David Katz, Brick and Mortar Liaison; Bonnie Dougan, Co-Fundraiser Lead; Christina Biaggi, Head of Membership; Danielle DeVito, Treasurer; Roderick Bradford, Synergy and Nonprofit Liaison; Sherry Hatwood, Co-Fundraising Lead, and Maureen Falloon; Administrator.
"We are incredibly honored to receive the 'Best of Westchester Chamber of Commerce’' award," said Cristina Chianese. "This accolade reflects our unwavering commitment to fostering a thriving business community and a connected, spirited local culture. It's a celebration of our collective achievements and the bright future ahead for Pelham. I couldn’t be more proud of our Chamber."
The Chamber also extends a heartfelt thank you to local government leaders such as George Latimer, Shari Rosen Ascher, Chance Mullen, Jennifer Lapey, and Dan McLaughlin for their ongoing support and collaboration. The Chamber would also like to thank the community for their support in making this win happen.
